Lew Smith - Chief Operations Officer
Lew is a producer and operations manager of Vanir Entertainment, Inc., responsible for overall offsite and onsite production, post-production, outsourcing, logistics, supply chain management, and staffing. Lew has over 20 years of operations management experience. He was the Operations Manager of a $50 million Tier 1 automotive manufacturing business and the Supply Chain Manager of another $14 million Tier 1 auto supplier. He was the Project Manager for construction and the opening of a green field manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
Lew is highly trained and certified in all aspects of production operations management. He provides expertise in lean manufacturing, process reengineering, inventory management, ERP system implementation, just-in-time systems, supply chain management, master production scheduling (MSP), quality assurance programs, Six Sigma and QS/ISO certifications. He is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, the Association for Manufacturing Technology, American Productivity & Quality Center, and the Canadian Solutions for Advanced Manufacturing. He is also a volunteer with the Romeo Downtown Development Authority and the Romeo Youth Football Association. Brent Chartier - Literary Director
Brent is a published fiction writer, magazine editor, actor in live theater, and human resources professional. He has authored a number of creative works for Vanir, including novels and screenplays for TV, film and theater. His current movie scripts include “Other Worlds,” “The Gifting,” “Camp Human,” and “Elmave.” He is also working on a novel entitled “Iceland” and several production treatments.
Brent is Vice President Account Management for the Troy, MI based TEAM, a human resources outsourcing firm. He has 25 years in the human resources and behavioral healthcare fields. Prior to joining TEAM, he served as Program Coordinator for the State of Michigan Health Professional Recovery Program (HPRP). Under the direction of the State’s 23 healthcare licensing boards, HPRP administers treatment services for impaired healthcare professionals. Brent holds a Master of Science in human resources administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Philosophy from the University of Michigan. Carol Sweeney - Creative Director/Producer
Carol works as the Creative Director of Vanir and is a lead scriptwriter for the Company’s TV, film and theatrical productions. Carol has previously earned several Emmy Award nominations for scriptwriting and she won two Telly Awards for song-writing. Carol was a co-founder of Greenestuff, Inc. and worked as creative director, project coordinator, producer, and scriptwriter. Her job duties included overseeing casting, music, art direction, set design, voice over and final production. Carol was the head writer and has co-written three seasons of scripts for “My Bedbugs”. She produces the character voices for each episode to ensure the voice inflections are correct to the script. Carol has over 25 years of professional life in the music and television industry. In addition to her own artistic performance, she has been part of The Detroit Concert Choir and has performed in numerous clubs and concert halls. She has co-written and co-produced “Hoof Beats in the Wind,” which was a music soundtrack for the PBS documentary “Portraits of a Horseman”. She has also handled a publishing agreement with Bob Segar’s Gear Publishing for a Jeau-Bon Production release of the single “Heavy Music”, which received national attention and reviews. Moreover, Carol was selected on the pilot and first episode for the CBS syndicated “Stars of tomorrow” show which aired in 32 countries. Ms. Sweeney has a strong background in 3D graphics, design, and project development. Before joining Greenestuff, Inc. she was a designer for 16 years in the automotive industry which included layout and design and animation with 3D graphics operation on Catia and Unigraphics programs which are used in anaimation interfacing. She has also led product development, layout and design for State Side Music & Distribution.
